I’m Visiting Dublin for the Second Time! #LoveDublin

News of the Day: I’m returning to Dublin next week!

Don’t you love returning to a city you’ve already been to explore more, dig a bit deeper into its soul and do all those things you didn’t have time for during your last visit? I know I do!

I visited Dublin in October 2014 and immediately loved it. It has loads of culture, is a bit funky, very friendly and has managed to successfully blend in the old with the new. And a place where even the bus drivers are nice (true story), who doesn’t want to return to THAT?!

Dublin: A Breath Of Fresh Air

Dublin is a real melting pot of creative hubs, bars, foodie hotspots, micro breweries and art spaces, giving the city a unique vibe. Together with 4 other bloggers (Marco (nonsoloturisti.it), Alexander (niedblog.de), Abigail (insidethetravellab.com) and Pauline (worldelse.com)), we’ll be showing you all the best Dublin has to offer:

Monday 16th November
After checking into my hotel, I’ll start my Dublin days with a walking tour of the city. I’ve already experienced that Dublin is brilliant to navigate on foot and love to see more of her historic sites that are situated in a comparatively small area.

We end the day with a nice dinner and perhaps (read: probably) a bit of Dublin nightlife. I’m sure it’s good even on a Monday night.

Tuesday 17th November
We will be taking a trip of Dublin’s coastline and key viewing spots. We’ll visit Malahide Castle which dates back to the 12th century and have a go here at ‘hurling’, an ancient game and apparently the fastest field sport in the world. I’m not even googling this, just to be surprised, haha. Same goes for our visit to Portmarnock, where we’ll have a go at even more Gaelic Games. Bring it on!

We continue our tour of Dublin’s North County and pass through the fishing village of Howth before we return to Dublin city. There, we jump on a bike with the Urban Art tour and get to see the city’s undiscovered hub for street art. Yes! Love that!

Wednesday 18th November
My flight doesn’t leave until 7PM, so a good day to explore Phoenix Park and visit the quirky Glasnevin Cemetery Museum, sounds interesting, especially as we finish the tour at the so-called ‘Gravedigger’s Pub’, haha.

In the afternoon, I’ll visit the new Docklands area of the city to explore before I head to the airport back to London.
